Sorry I didn't come across clearer in my first email - I was advocating
this form because its the 'norm', not necessarily because it is any better.

I disagree. The one-two letter combinations are very easy to type and very
easy to remember. Using Ctrl requires spreading your fingers further apart or
using both hands on the keyboard.
