If I use the IPC-7351 Land Pattern Viewer (available at http://landpatterns.ipc.org/default.asp - runs on windows only, so sad) to create my footprints, what license is involved? The license is displayed when you install the IPC-7351 Land Pattern Viewer, but it refers only to the IPC-7351 Land Pattern Viewer, not to the libraries that you are viewing.
The IPC-7351 Land Pattern Viewer is simply displaying a recommendation for my footprint, which I may modify if I wish. It is not providing me with a library of components. The IPC-7351 Land Pattern Viewer is identified as "shareware". This is clearly not GPL licensed, but what license would be applied to any library I create? TIA Dave "head hurts" Hart...
