If it were me, I'd pick some string prefix (like FOO vs /FOO) to mean "inverted" and draw the overbar deep in the "print text here" routine. Nobody else needs to know about it, and that's after all the alignment and sizing routines. I can help with the PS stuff. Consistency is its own goal in cases like this, but perhaps the rules could be extended to include exceptions like busses and multi-pin power? The rest of it is pretty close to the spec. And I didn't see anything in the design specs about positions of numbers and labels for vertical pins, anyway.
