This makes me nervous.
My fab requires 6 mil minimum distance. I routed my board with
clearence=10mil on all route styles. Yet, the DRC feels fine with
minimum copper distance set to 6 mil...

Just measured with the help of [ctrl-m]: 6 mil clearance translates to 6
mil gap from copper to copper (phew!).
