The old M4 libraries are the ones with all the SMT footprints, like 0603, tssop-28, sot-23, etc. Those are the ones we want to keep. It's the newlib ones that are, IMHO, useless - they're the special case symbols that can't be generalized. We just need to fix the m4 scripts so that they use the hi-res syntax for metric parts. There are 859 M4 footprints. Here's the COMPLETE list of newlib footprints: 2_pin_thru-hole_packages/0.125W_Carbon_Resistor 2_pin_thru-hole_packages/1W_Carbon_Resistor 2_pin_thru-hole_packages/CK05_type_Capacitor 2_pin_thru-hole_packages/CK06_type_capacitor 2_pin_thru-hole_packages/IRU1015-33CT_3.3V_reg_TO220 2_pin_thru-hole_packages/RN55_type_0.1W_Resistor 2_pin_thru-hole_packages/T1.75_LED analog-devices/ADC12138CIMSA burr-brown/OPA340_SOT23-5 connectors/100_Pin_jack connectors/16x1_SMD_jack connectors/3terminal_screw_block connectors/72pin45degreeSIMMconnector connectors/MOLEX_miniFitJr-12pin connectors/Power_Jack connectors/RightAngleSMA connectors/SJ-3523-SMT_3.5mm_stereo_jack crystal/CTX169_oscillator electro-optics/IRF_optical_switch headers/0.1_inch_10pin headers/0.1_inch_2pin headers/2mm_8pin_header msp430/MSP430F1121 msp430/MSP430F1121+jtag not_vetted_ingo/pc104+.ele not_vetted_ingo/pc104.ele not_vetted_ingo/pq100.ele not_vetted_ingo/pq128.ele not_vetted_ingo/pq144.ele not_vetted_ingo/pq160.ele not_vetted_ingo/pq208.ele not_vetted_ingo/pq240.ele not_vetted_ingo/pq304.ele not_vetted_ingo/pq32.ele not_vetted_ingo/pq44.ele not_vetted_ingo/smt0402.ele not_vetted_ingo/smt0603.ele not_vetted_ingo/smt0805.ele not_vetted_ingo/smt1206.ele not_vetted_ingo/smt1210.ele not_vetted_ingo/smt1913.ele not_vetted_ingo/smt2416.ele tests/14DIP_oval_pad tests/Generic_TSOP48_Flash tests/MONOBLOCK_large tests/StrongARM_CPU tests/TK11950 tests/TO99fromLED tests/UART tests/monoblock_small _______________________________________________ geda-user mailing list geda-user@moria.seul.org http://www.seul.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/geda-user
