Just let the Flux do the Job. I don't use Solder wire for SMD. Solder Paste is ideal no matter if you use stencils or not. The fact that solder paste is a mix of (mainly)Flux and solder powder makes the difference. Being that said, Flux + solder wick is your friend if you're using Solder Wire.
