There should not be anything about schematics, you should be using GenCAM (IPC-2511 and defined sub-variants in IPC-251x) for that. No, this format is only targeted for PBA production. Some of it is already in the GenCAM format, so it is more of a compromise to make another standard out of it. Now the question is how quickly it will become accepted, especially by fabs.
