no, i did not encounter this. first try doing it with the simplest possible settings... i.e. do not use MEsi_cmp_ ...

best.

p.s. if possible please do not delete the previous messages while replying. frankly speaking, now i do not really know what exactly were you looking for when you encountered this problem..

제목: Re: [gem5-users] Context-switch traces
Hi,

Sorry for the late reply.

I made changes the the src code for x86 in order for it to be able to make
the traces. I got an updated linux kernel and tried running it with X86 with
the MESI_CMP_directory protocol but I get a page translation fault. I took
some traces and this causes the error:

7216168657500: global: v (0xffffffff7fffffff)
7216168657500: system.cpu.dtb.walker: Got long mode PML4 entry
0x00000000203067.
7216168657500: system.cpu.dtb.walker: Got long mode PDP entry
0x00000000000000.
7216168657500: system.cpu.dtb.walker: Raising page fault.

But I have no idea where I have to start looking for the cause of the page
fault. Did you encounter something like this?

Thank you in advance,
Kind regards,
Anouk
