That's possible. You might want to try again with a statically linked
binary to see if it's a library issue, and if that also segfaults you
should be able to run it under SE mode where it'll likely be easier to
see what's happening. If the static version runs then at least you
have a work around.

That is true. I did change my disk image to use the provided by
parsec benchmark
folks as well as the script file to run FFT
(I wrote quite simple script thought).
The simulator runs quite fine and it does exit after a fixed number
of cycles regardless of what benchmark iam using
(FFT,CHOLESKY,RADIX,.... etc).
I am guessing the problem is
generated because of something was missing while
cross compiling splsh2 using
alpha-cross compiler , Could that be the reason ?
