Not that PC Magazine has an article "Linux Now" in the Nov 13
issue which arrived yesterday. They liked Red Hat, but failed
to note that it is free for the download and available for a few
dollars a CD from Cheapbytes.

This machine refused to come on for a few days -- thought the
power supply had gone bad -- but when I took it by a shop to
get it checked out, it worked fine......

Meantime I loaded programs on the other box and tried sending
a bit of overdue mail. Strange, I could exchange mail with a
few individuals, but don't seem to have gotten in any postings
to conferences..... We'll see if this shows up.

Maybe we could work out some sort of arrangement to have a
few copies of new versions, like the Red Hat 7.2 that was just
announced, burned by people with fast connections for those
of us with very slow dial-up. Will plan to bring a stack of blank
CD-Rs to the next meeting. When people are kind enough to
do others a favor, I hate for them to be out cost of media, too.

Choppy
