Choppy, I'm interested in CDs 4, 5, and 6. Is CD 6 for Solaris on Intel? Are CDs 4 and 5 for PowerPC? If yes to both, I'd like copies of 4, 5, and 6.
This makes me think that we should start a collection of Linux/Unix/BSD distributions in the BRLUG library. If someone wants to try out a distribution, they can check the CD out, make a copy and return the original back to the library. What do you think? Would somebody volunteer to coordinate this? Do we have a librarian already? Does anyone have a CD label maker and would be willing to print up labels for these CDs? I'm willing to burn copies of or donate: RedHat 7.1 for i386 RedHat 7.2 for i386 Debian 2.2rel3 for i386 Yellow Dog Linux 2.0 for PPC Yellow Dog Linux 2.1 for PPC (11/1/01) DemoLinux for M$-Windows Mandrake 6.1 Slackware 4.0 Slackware 4.0 Source SUSE 6.2 Caldera OpenLinux 2.3 Any others? For the time being, I'll be the acting coordinator. Please bring me any distributions you may have, especially old distribution CDs you may have lying around but you've not wanted to throw away. Multiple copies of CD distributions would be a good thing, within reason, as multiple people could check em out or even ask to keep them if we have plenty.
