I've tried cold reboot with the same result. I'm not sure whether the install has gotten past the boot floppy to the point there would be a log of messages. A couple of times the anaconda termination said error 11, if that helps. I'm a bit too new at Linux to be confident I'm not goofing somewhere. The install CD seems to be intact. I had no trouble doing the rawrite in this machine to make to boot image, and I put a data CD in the Linux box and could see the files correctly, so the hardware seems to be there. Ran a bootable diskette with a configuration checker and hardware checked out. Machine is an AMD K6-2/500 with 64 MB and a couple of hard drives. The one in service is about 7.5 Gb, the one not yet fidisked is 14 Gb. The thought of trying to download a CD plus over the Net at this line speed is grim. I'm too far out for DSL or Cable, and what they want to install fast satellite isn't close to budget. I'll start a download and see what time the browser calculates. So far my biggest download to complete successfully was 14MB, and that went well into the night.
