The next adventure in the continuing saga of the Linux Box and Red Hat 7.1
With the new hard drive and CD-RW drive as masters, back to the effort.
Was unable to boot to the CD. Text mode from floppy failed and failed,
with kernel panic, no less. Did better on graphical install.
Was able, on second or third try to begin installation using boot floppy.
Disk Druid was balky, but did set up partitions, swap, boot, /, /users,
and /data on first hard drive. Will worry about the second later. With
30 GB on hda, there is plenty of room for now.
Am now stuck with problem with missing or bad C++ library for back
compatibility with RH 6.2. Need to guess how to tell installer to skip
it and go on. Maybe it will time out......
Is there a keyboard combination to tell the installer to give up and go on?
Choppy
