I have received information (as I assume all on Cox have) that they will soon send out a kit which will configure your computer for their new Internet access. I went to their customer care web page and left a message requesting that information for manual configuration be given, since I don't trust automatic configuration programs.
If you have similar concerns (or if you are using a Linux box) you might do the same. May save lots of headaches later on.
