If you glance quickly, or your computer is slow enough, when opening Internet Explorer, you see an acknowledgement fly by -- that it's based on Mosaic, freeware produced by a team headed by the gentleman who went on to found Netscape.
Microsoft hates open source as long as it doesn't use it. Of course the name Kerberos is apt, the guard dog from Greek mythology.
