Try to apt-get adminmenu 

You may not be able to do so without editing your sources.list, which
I do not reccomend for the uninitiated.  Libranet's adminmenu has a
real nice kernel recompile widget.  It helps you avoid stepping off
into the deep end without a floaty.

If you do decide to monkey with your sources.list file, do some
reading at debian dot org first.
