Nah, I don't think we need a mission for 'HTTP Utilities.' This isn't a top-level project. In fact, I don't even think we should group them together in such a formal way. If the committers of these projects want to work together, fine, but I don't think we gain anything by coming up with rules or management for this little fiefdom.


I dunno, but I really would prefer that we just take things and evolve as we go. I'm getting awfully tired of dealing with (proposed) bureaucracy. I'm so far removed from code right now, I want to cry. I really do favor the 'just enough structure to keep us from falling apart' in such new endeavors. This proposal strikes me as going in a different direction than where I would like to see it.

BTW, yes, component is an awfully misused word. All those papers I spend my time reading all have different meanings of that word. So, this isn't an ASF thing. *sigh* -- justin
