I would also like to join the PMC as I think I have good experience of Jakarta Commons to add to the group. My experience of Apache is for the majority from within Jakarta Commons, and I've been an active committer for pretty much the entire lifespan of Jakarta Commons.
I'm hoping to learn more about the ASF way from interaction with non-Jakarta folks.
