Hi Philip,
I am not aware of XQuery features that allow specifying doctype for outputting,
similar to how that is possible in XSLT. Nor is there to my knowledge specific
functionality in MarkLogic Server to handle this. But doing it the way below
will work perfectly, just add the following statement somewhere in your query
body:
xdmp:set-response-content-type("text/html; charset=utf-8")
