They will not be aged out. They exist in memory until the memory is taken down
(by a server restart, for example) or until it is overwritten by another call
to xdmp:set-server-field for the same named server field on the same App
Server. It's size is only limited by the memory on your computer.

Subject: [MarkLogic Dev General] Server-field limitation

Hi All

Is is possible that server-fields (Features for Marklogic 4.2 onwards) will
aged out or get cleared without the server restart. Can I believe that even if
the server will not restart the server field values will be present in the in
memory irrespective of the in memory size ?

If so what is the maximum limitation .

Can someone refer any documentation except MarkLogic XQuery and XSLT Function
Reference<file:///C:\Learning\Marklogic\MarkLogic_4.2_pubs\pubs\apidocs\All.html>
 over the point

Thanks in Advance
