We are considering moving MarkLogic from a Windows 2012 Server platform to RedHat Linux for :
1. Less frequent need for OS patching (I think) 2. Less or even no reboots after pacthing 3. Presumed stability 4. Easier matching of ML docs to actual configurations 5. Easier automation via SSH 6. Out-of-the-box ability to do tail on logs Besides these, are there other notable benefits for running ML on Linux ? Any observed drawbacks ? Also, has anyone here decided to go bare-metal instead of using VM's ? If so, what were your reasons and observed benefits for doing so ? Regards, Danny
