In case this is informative to others I (1) I tried making on a new RHL (2)
I downloaded and ran. See uname for details.

BTW: The URL referenced within the source file is no longer valid, and I
couldn't find it on the gentlemen's site.

That said, I think the changes work, so this is a new option & hopefully
helps Hermes.
