+1, I was thinking the same thing.

In addition to there having been relatively little testing of 2.1.0-alpha
when compared with the tip of branch-2, I suspect that relatively few folks
would be interested in the rather modest delta between the current
2.0.1-alpha and 2.1.0-alpha.
