Water flows downstream because gravity "pulls" things down and
so water takes the path of least resistance in that direction.

The path of least resistance in code in from an AL-type license
to a GPL-type one... the reverse is not. If your upstream
is AL, your feeds can be AL, LGPL, GPL, etc... If your
upstream is GPL, your downstream can only be GPL (you have
access to much fewer feeds).
