I was talking to a Lenovo guy the other day and asked him when they would start using flash instead of or together with ordinary disks and he answered that it was already in the pipes and we would start seeing Flash hybrids this year.
They have been doing it a long time in the pocket pcs so it is only natural to have them in the PCs too. Having the OS on a Flash and at least the paging swaps would make the laptops less vulnarable to most of the diskproblems when the laptop is on the move and the less the diskmovements are needed the better.
