Yes, they are, at least for most people. They use faith to replace
reason rather than using reason to strengthen their faith. It's kinda
like the fine line between genius and insanity.
No one likes to feel alone, especially if they're insecure. Those who
"just believe" are insecure in their faith (hard to prop yourself up on
holes), so must impose their belief system on others so they don't feel
alone. Those who are secure in their faith usually arrived there by way
of reason, so have no need to ram their set of beliefs down another's
throat.
That doesn't necessarily make those with reasoned arguments correct, but
they sure tend to be a lot more tolerant of other's beliefs.
