My use of the word cult seemed to have a different connotation for some of you than for me. Actually the dictionary (The Oxford American Dictionary of Current English) says, "cult /kult/ n. 1 a system of religious worship esp. as expressed in ritual. 2 a devotion to a thing (the cult of aestheticism). b a popular fashion. 3 (attrib.) denoting a person or thing popularized in this way (cult film; cult figure). cul-tic adj. cul-tism n. cul-tist n." As far as I understand the definition there is no negative implications?? And, don't most of us fall under the second definition when it comes to Linux? My wife says I'm as bad as a re-born Christian when I try to explain to people why I use Linux and why they should. Bob
