My Certified Diabetes Councilor Turned my name in to the Joslin Diabetes Foundation last year as a 50 year survivor of diabetes. A month or so later I received an invitation to participate in a study of 50 year survivors..I took them up on it. Rene and I are leaving Monday morning to drive to Medford, Oregon to take a plane to Boston, spend the night in The Best Western - The Inn At Longwood Medical Monday night. Tuesday morning I'll have a 4 1/2 hour examination, head for the airport and be back in Medford Tuesday at 9 P.M. Sort-of-a-hurried trip. I thought I was pretty tough, but there are 75 year survivors. Those cats are really survivors. Google the history of insulin and see why. Bob
