yes, IB L2 port counters can be queried using the perfquery(8) utility
which is installed by infiniband-diags, note you would need to modprobe
the ib_umad module. You may also want to use ibnetdiscover and/or
ibv_devinfo to get the LIDs (IB L2 addresses) whose traffic you want to
sample.
