Niclas Hedhman commented on PAXLOGGING-39:
------------------------------------------

Hmmm.... Is this a result that the org.apache.log4j.config package is taken
from the API bundle instead of the internal package?

> Unable to set filter org.apache.log4j.varia.LevelRangeFilter

> When attempting to use the SMTPAppender with pax-logging, I get this error:
> log4j:WARN Failed to set property [filter] to value
> "org.apache.log4j.varia.LevelRangeFilter".
> There is no other message provided.
> I tried setting up pax-logging so I could step through the code, but was
> unsucessful.
> I also tried tracking down the source code where that message is logged to
> see if I could find clues there. Looks like this message is logged in
> org.apache.log4j.config.PropertySetter, but I can't find that package in the
> pax-logging-api bundle.
