I've a Pace Solo 56 modem but no Caller ID to set the Solo's clock yet wanted to
synchronise both.

I'd synched my internal clock to an internet clock via the Interface/Services
section of GenesisPrefs but how to set the external mode.

Luckily for me, Oliver Roberts came to my rescue by writing a CLI program
which can be set as an Offline Active event (together with its arguments).

Now Genesis sets my Amiga clock going on-line and sets the PAce Solo when it comes
offline. Great!

Oliver is the moderator of the 56solo group at www.egroups.com. He says that future
releases of SoloControl will be available from either Aminet
(comm/misc/SoloControl.lha) or its webpage:

  http://www.nanunanu.org/~oliver/solocontrol.html

They're not there as I write but you can contact him via the web page

I hope this helps someone else but if anyone has another method to do the above,
please let me know.

John
