Dear Sir/ Madam,

I am a frequent user of UCSC genome search. This website is one of the most
useful and user friendly websites to search for the gene sequence, in
particular, the upstream promoter region. Recently, I would like to search
the upstream sequence of a miR gene, so I typed e.g. miR-21; however, the
"gene sorter" of UCSC genome search indicated "error" when I entered miR-21,
miRNA 21, microRNA 21, etc.It seems that USCS website does not have miR
database for the time being.

I wonder whether UCSC is going to expand its data base and include miR
sequence (coding region/ gene) in the near future.

Thank you for your attention!
