Hi, I would like to use the blat program for blasting, but I could not use it. Could you please help me in running the program?
I downloaded "blatSuite.33x5.zip" for windows from " http://genome-test.cse.ucsc.edu/~kent/exe/";. I unzipped the files. But when I double click on the blat.exe or run the blat by using MS-DOS from command line it gives an error as "This application has failed to start because cygwin1.dll was not found". I may overcome this problem by installing cygwin1.dll, but still I do not know exactly how to run the blat. For example, how to tell the blat to blast a sequence to all human chromosome? Could you please direct me how to use blat locally on my computer, which has windows vista software. Or do you have any kind manuel? I could not find on the USCS web site.
