Hello Joshua,

Your counts are correct. The data on the public mySQL server has the 
data associated with Genbank (EST, mRNA, RefSeq, etc) updated weekly. 
The Browser hosted at http://genome.ucsc.edu is updated daily.

This means that there will be slight differences as you noted.
