Hello Sigal,

The data ranges are broken up into 10 grey scale values by multiplying 
the decodeAve by 200 and converting to an integer.

<= 320 :lighest grey

321 - 599 :middle values of grey (8 of them)

 >= 600 :darkest grey (black)

The exact RGC code and exact data ranges are not known. We apologize for 
this. It has been some times since the track was created and the 
information has been lost. The good news is that the track is being 
updated and this type of information will be captured going forward.

Hopefully this will help you to approximate a similar color scheme in R.
