Hello,

You are correct, the RefSeq Genes track in the Chimp Mar. 2006 (panTro2)
assembly browser contains Chimp and Human RefSeq Genes. The track description
page declares these contents (click on track name in browser display to view):

//
Description
The RefSeq track shows known chimpanzee and human protein-coding and
non-protein-coding genes taken from the NCBI RNA reference sequences collection
(RefSeq). The data underlying this track are updated daily.

Thank you,

Subject: [Genome] Problem about chimp refLink file

hello:

I've download the refLink file of chimp from UCSC.

http://hgdownload.cse.ucsc.edu/goldenPath/panTro2/database/refLink.txt.gz

I found lots of mRNA and protein listed in this file are actually belong to
human.
It turn out that some genes are both found in human refLink file and chimp
refLink file.
Is this normal??

Thanks
