Hi Bob, Glad you like the advanced javascript features.
Those tooltips are actually not done via javascript; they are part of the HTML of the hgTracks page. There is no way to turn them off. Just curious why you want to turn the tooltips off. Are they interfering with drag/reorder? If so, can you describe your web browser setup (name and version)? thanks, -larry ----- Original Message ----- From: "Bob Thurman" <[email protected]> To: [email protected] Sent: Thursday, May 12, 2011 2:49:03 PM Subject: [Genome] tuning advanced java features Generally I find the advanced java features fantastic - love using them. I was wondering if it was possible, however, to control them in a finer way than just turning them on or off. What I would like to do is to turn off the "tool tips" descriptions that appear whenever I hover over the left-hand track labels, while at the same time still be able to drag and re-order the tracks. On the configure page I tried unchecking "Display labels to the left of items in tracks" (which also turns off the hover display) while leaving "Enable advanced javascript features" checked, but I can't re-order tracks then. Any way to (easily) get around this? (Pretty specialized, I know, but...thought I'd ask.) Thanks!
