Hi Kent, The genome assembly is done by the Genome Reference Consortium: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/projects/genome/assembly/grc/
Their statistics page for the GRCh37/hg19 genome is here: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/projects/genome/assembly/grc/human/data/?build=37 You can also use that page to compare the current build statistics to previous builds (NCBI36/hg18 and NCBI35/hg17). If you have further questions about the reference genome assemblies, I suggest contacting the GRC directly. -- Brooke Rhead UCSC Genome Bioinformatics Group On 05/18/11 17:01, Kent Kemmish wrote: > Basically, I just want to know how complete the current reference genome is, > relative to total genomic content, in terms of what you've fully, > confidently assembled.
