CUE is in a seperate file? Perhaps you need to use 'metaflac' to embed them in 
the flac before k3b will take them...

$ metaflac --import-cuesheet-from='CUEFILE' foobar.flac

In any event, running 'metaflac --list foo.flac' should let you know if the 
flac is valid.
