If the maintainers are interested, perhaps gentoolkit could adopt it? That would mean it's on most portage-based systems anyway, in my experience. The FEATURES=fixlocales suggestion would suggest keeping the script in portage, modified to be called with the feature hook, perhaps to be run on the fake-install before qmerge and/or binpkging. -- Duncan - List replies preferred.
