No, this was really me. Forgive me for the rant, but the problem here is real and no, the alternative would be either giving up with the Linux stack or living with unreliable, overengineered software. I don't see any other viable alternative. Just answer my question, what is going to happen the day udev will require systemd in order to work properly?
