The first time I tried to install Gentoo,
the boot process froze while it was trying
to auto detect an ethernet interface. I
then passed the "nonet" option at the boot
prompt and everything went fine, but when I
tried to manually install the kernel modules
for my hardware using the "modpobe" command,
the shell cries that it could not locate the
module that I typed. What can I do to fix
these problems? I would much rather have
the shell autodetect my hardware, but if I
have to manually load the modules, thats
fine, but now I can't do either. Please help!
