I thought this command was supposed to update all packages.
chown: /var/cache/edb
chown: /var/cache/edb/dep
open_wr: /var/cache/edb/mtimes
chown: /var/cache/edb/mtimes
I have various sandbox log files in /tmp/ that have similar entries to above.
/tmp/sandbox-kopete-0.5-23418.log
What are these failures?
"emerge -up world" should be empty after I do "emerge -u world", right?
Something is failing.
I'm also installing a new system starting with stage 3.
It fails with a permission denied error on chown.
I don't know why it would because I'm root.
Would picking the wrong architecture for the LiveCD cause it to output an error like that?
