Check bugs.gentoo.org for more information on the new dispatch-conf script, post any etc-update type feature requests there, as dispatch conf is currently slated to replace etc-update pending matching etc-update's feature set. Since dispatch-conf is written in python, it has much more flexibility looking forward in terms of being able to integrate into portage, and to have various UIs integrated.
