Thanks guys, I wasn't even aware of the xhost command. The program I am trying to run still doesn't work but but I no longer get the Xlib errors. I am trying to run the updater for ut2003 but I keep getting the following error. ERROR: ut2003 not found, are you the one who installed it? I installed the game as root but I get this same error message whether I run the updater as root or as my regular user. Anyone know what might be going on here?
