An update. It's found it with the kernel after copying over the patched files to a fresh 2.4.20 tree however now comes to the problem of getting sane to see it. Sane notices the driver and says it found a scanner but scanimage -L returns nothing. Trying the plustek.conf does nothing same with hp. Anyone else got any ideas/suggestions?
