I don't find where in the kernel that message is coming from (did you paste that text exactly as it appears???), but my guess is it's complaining about a BIOS setting. Jump into your BIOS configuration at boot time and look around - you'll probably find the controls you need there. If not, maybe it's a jumper on the drive.
