sorry for the double post...

ln -s /usr/lib/gcc-lib/i686-pc-linux-gnu/3.3/libgcc_s.so.1
libgcc_s-3.0.4.so.1

seemed to make the problem go away.

is there something missing from the ebuild for GCC 3.3?
