You would think this wouldn't be so hard. Ok, I understand how reroute
all those darned xterms. The problem however is that I can't seem to get
things working right.

First problem, when I issue:

linux con=pts con0=fd:0,fd:1

That works great, xterms are gone, the console gets routed whatever I
have it do. However I'm not sure how to give it the login program (or if
I'm supposed to!)

Then if I add the login program to /etc/conf.d/local.start ( i think
thats the file) then it refuses any valid login and password. I think
this may be with charcter encoding, because that comes up kinda wierd
with certain things.

Any ideas?

In 1968 it took the computing power of 2 C-64's to fly a rocket to the
moon. Now, in 1998 it takes the Power of a Pentium 200 to run Microsoft
Windows 95. Something must have gone wrong.
