What kernel are you using? This looks like a SuSE-Kernel. The message says, that you compiled your kernel w/o support for devfs or you compiled it as a module. If the second is the case, the module needs to be loaded from a initrd afaik. > I hope someone can tell me how to get out of this mess, without > re-installing everything! TIA!
